Washington D.C.– On November 29, Congressman Sessions voiced his support for Stephen F. Austin University's decision to join the greater University of Texas System. 

"Stephen F. Austin plays an important role in Texas higher education. Their programs have had a history of providing an excellent service for students, East Texas, and the 17th Congressional District. I support the SFA Regents' decision to partner with the University of Texas. I believe it will allow the university to accelerate their positive trajectory toward providing a great education, community, and culture."
