Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Pete Sessions (TX-17) was appointed ranking member on the Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Subcommittee for the House Oversight Committee. The subcommittee focuses on civil rights, civil liberties, and the equal protection of laws. Issues include, but are not limited to, voting rights, freedom of religion and speech, nondisclosure agreements, and equal employment. Sessions will lead the team with a strong conviction upholdiong American exceptionalism for all.
Every four years, after a presidential election, there is a constitutionally mandated process whereby the results of the election are presented in a formal process to Congress. The Electoral College is certified by the Vice President along with both congressional bodies in a Joint Session. For the past five presidential elections, individual members from the House and Senate utilized this process to present information that almost universally resulted in an opportunity for review to address reported inconsistencies.
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Pete Sessions (TX-17) was selected to serve on the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee on Tuesday. With substantial experience working for technology companies such as Southwestern Bell, now known as AT&T, Sessions will enrich the committee in advancing our Nation into future innovation. Serving on the committee will be extremely valuable with Baylor University, Texas A&M University, a SpaceX facility, and the Pflugerville technological corridor all residing within his district.

He will bring 22 years of congressional wisdom and experience to the team. Together, the committee will serve to hold the federal government accountable and ensure taxpayer dollars are utilized judiciously.
The freshman class will be sworn in on January 3rd, 2021 when the First Session of the 117th United States Congress convenes.
