Congressional Art Competition
The annual Congressional High School Art Competition brings together the best student artwork from the 32nd Congressional District and across the country. I am proud to support the 32nd Congressional District's participation in the annual Congressional High School Art Competition each year. The contest is open to all high school students, and there is a winner from each Congressional district. When the winning artist is chosen, his or her artwork is displayed in the U.S. Capitol. In June, Congress will host a reception in Washington for winners from across the country.
The Congressional Art Competition is open to high school students only. Students attending public or private schools residing in the 32nd Congressional District are eligible to participate. All student submissions must be submitted online using the form below. This year's submissions, including a JPEG file of the artwork, are due no later than 5 PM CST Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
Artwork will be judged on April 12th by local artists and art educators, who will select the Grand Prize winner and two Runners-Up that will be announced at a reception on April 24th. All remaining pieces that submitted a JPEG file during submissions will be eligible for the People's Choice award and linked to our offical website for voting.
