This week I was delighted to spend time with North Texans across the 32nd Congressional District to learn how the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act has impacted their lives. It was amazing to hear the stories from small businesses, doctors, job creators, and families who can keep more of their hard-earned money.
Yesterday I joined my House colleagues in responsibly acting to fund our nation’s government, reauthorize CHIP funding for six years, delay onerous Obamacare taxes, and ensure our troops have funding. I am deeply disappointed in my Democrat colleagues for fabricating a false crisis and playing politics with our troops and children’s health care.
As we begin the new year, we are already seeing the immense benefits of our historic tax reform. Americans across the country are feeling the impact.
Over the years I have had the opportunity to spend time with high school students from across the32nd Congressional District. Through all of my interactions I truly believe that North Texas is home to some of the brightest young leaders in the country.
This week the House and Senate took a critical step towards completed historic tax reform for theAmerican people. The American people deserve a tax code that allows them to keep more of their hard-earned money.
During this Thanksgiving season, the time for gratitude and reflection, I would like to highlight the invaluable contributions of the men and women who serve in the United States military at home and around the world.
