The Hill Report: Week of March 28 - April 1, 2016
I was delighted to spend this District Work Week at home meeting with North Texans across the 32nd Congressional District. I had the opportunity to meet with high school and college students, discuss important issues facing the North Texas economy with small business owners, and more. Please take a moment to read about my week in the district and learn more about upcoming events this weekend.
Meetings with North Texas Students
St. Mark’s Political Speaker Series
I was honored to be the inaugural speaker at the St. Mark’s School of Texas Political Speaker Series. This series is the brainchild of two fine young students at St Mark’s, and it was incredibly uplifting to see so many civically engaged young men come out to become better educated about our political process.

SMU AIPAC
I was pleased to sit down with the members of Southern Methodist University’s AIPAC group. College campuses today are not always the most friendly environments toward Israel, but I believe the United States must stand strong with our ally, and I enjoyed the opportunity to engage with the student-activists about some of the challenges facing the Middle East and the importance of maintaining a strong relationship between the US and Israel.

Visiting with the North Texas Business Community
North Texas Area Manufacturers Round Table
Tuesday I was delighted to meet with local members of the National Association of Manufacturers here in Dallas. I always enjoy spending time discussing issues that affect American businesses, and it was great to get to speak directly to local business leaders about what our Republican Congress is doing to fight against this Administration’s continued assault on the free-enterprise system.
Dr. Delphinium Designs & Events
As a follow up to my recent meeting with the Society of American Florists, I spent part of Tuesday afternoon visiting Dr. Delphinium Designs & Events. Dr. Delphinium has proudly served the Dallas Metroplex for more than 20 years and has been an integral part of the North Texas business community. It was a pleasure to meet with the owners and speak with the employees to learn more about their business. I am proud to have such an outstanding small business in the 32nd Congressional District who prides themselves on delivering beautiful products and going the extra miles for their customers.

Tour of Enroute Center with National Air Traffic Controllers
Thursday afternoon I had the opportunity to meet with members of the National Air Traffic Controllers and tour the Enroute Center at DFW Airport. With Dallas being home to one of the world’s premiere airports, I am keenly aware of the important public service that these men and women provide and the struggles the industry is facing. These men and women deserve our support, and I will continue to do all I can to ensure that they have the tools and resources they need to keep people safe and our planes running efficiently.

Delivering Meals to North Texas Seniors
For more than 80 years, the Visiting Nurses Association has been helping the Dallas County residents who need it the most. I was glad to be able to spend the morning assisting this remarkable organization and delivering Meals on Wheels to some of our Dallas seniors.

Service Academy Forum
This Saturday a representative from my office will be joining my North Texas colleagues in hosting a Service Academy forum. This event provides interested students and their parents with the opportunity to learn more about our nation’s exceptional Service Academies and the important role they have in shaping the future leaders of our community, state, and nation.
