Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Pete Sessions (TX-17) was appointed ranking member on the Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Subcommittee for the House Oversight Committee. The subcommittee focuses on civil rights, civil liberties, and the equal protection of laws.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Pete Sessions (TX-17) was selected to serve on the House Oversight and Reform Committee on Tuesday, January 26th. He will bring 22 years of congressional wisdom and experience to the team. Together, the committee will serve to hold the federal government accountable and ensure taxpayer dollars are utilized judiciously.
Every four years, after a presidential election, there is a constitutionally mandated process whereby the results of the election are presented in a formal process to Congress. The Electoral College is certified by the Vice President along with both congressional bodies in a Joint Session.
