Press Releases
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-Dallas), a Member of House Republican Leadership, today released the following statement in response to the Supreme Court’s ruling on the President’s health care law:
“I will continue to stand up for the American people and fight for a full repeal of government-run health care. North Texans are struggling to find jobs in the Obama economy, and the taxes in the President’s health care law only make things worse.
“ObamaCare is a product of Washington Democrats forcing a massive 2,700 page bill through Congress without reading it or revealing its full contents to the American people. In a sharp contrast to their approach, I support physician- and patient-approved health care policies that are crafted through a carefully measured and transparent process.
“House Republicans have voted 30 times to repeal, defund and dismantle ObamaCare and we will continue to fight for a full repeal. It is imperative that we restore the sanctity of the doctor-patient relationship and put an end Washington bureaucrats’ power to make our health care decisions. I stand ready to work with my colleagues to offer common-sense proposals that empower patients and ensure access to affordable, quality care. It’s past time to provide reforms to our health care system that the American people need and deserve.”
