Congressional Art Competition
About the Congressional Art Contest
The annual Congressional High School Art Competition brings together the best student artwork from the 32nd Congressional District and across the country. I am proud to support the 32nd Congressional District's participation in the annual Congressional High School Art Competition each year. The contest is open to all high school students, and there is a winner from each Congressional district. When the winning artist is chosen, his or her artwork is displayed in the U.S. Capitol. In June, Congress will host a reception in Washington for winners from across the country.

2012 Congressional Art Competition
On Tuesday, April 30th, the winners of the 2013 Congressional High School Art Competition were congratulated on their artistic acheivements at an awards ceremony at The Art Institute of Dallas. This year’s competition included 34 entries from students representing 10 local schools. Prior to the awards ceremony, the Grand Prize winner and Runners Up honors were chosen by art instructors from The Art Institute and local artists. The People’s Choice Award winner was chosen by my constituents through online voting on my website.
